L of barrel: 27 cm, of carriage: 35 cm Provenance: Estate of Jean-Pierre Alaux, who inherited this object from his ancestors, notably Jean Alaux, known as le Romain (1786 - 1864), who is said to have obtained it from his friend Horace Vernet.
