Audience in a garden, Iran, 19th century, in the style of Mu'in Musavvir Album page with gold and polychrome decoration of an audience scene. The sovereign, kneeling on his throne and wearing an aigrette headdress, converses with his guest in the presence of two courtiers. In the foreground, some dishes and tableware, in the background, a rugged mountain landscape. Several epigraphic cartouches in Persian nasta'liq frame the scene, four in the sky, two in the lower part of the composition. All around, a gilded geometric latticework margin decorated with vegetal motifs. Iranian export stamp dated 1343 H / 1924 to the right of the composition. Framed under glass.
