Manuscript folio illustrated with a garden banquet scene, Iran, 17th century, in the style of Mu'in Musavvir
Manuscript folio on paper with 15 lines of text in four columns, in Persian nasta'liq in black ink, a few lines set at an angle and framed by illuminated floral scrolls. One side illustrated with a garden banquet scene centered on the figure of a sovereign kneeling on his throne. Mounted in a margin with gilded hatayi floral decoration on a brown background. Framed under glass.
Sight size: 20 x 12 cm
Paint chips, folio cut out and mounted in later margins, stains.
Iran, probably 17th century provincial school
