German trunk lock, Nuremberg. Fifteen bolts operated by two keys. The main one opens ten, the second one five. Splendid embossed sheet metal foliage, crowning the dome with a visored helmet and ostrich feathers, a radiant sun and three medieval castle towers. The two keys were missing. Master of Art Alain de Saint Exupéry made them, perfectly functional, precisely fitted to the guards and respecting the aesthetics of the period.
