after Raoul Dufy (1877 - 1953), Tournon canvas, Bianchini Férier, L'Afrique, (BF 8014), circa 1925, bis background, black decoration of a boat amid exotic fruits. This is another version of Tournon's painting Le Voyage aux Iles ou Le Bal Antillais, circa 1912, where the dancers have disappeared. It comes from the villa Itxasgoïty, in Biarritz, built for Alexandre Stavisky (1886 - 1934), abandoned, fallen into ruin and destroyed in the 1970s. Many of these Tournon canvases were commissioned by Paul Poiret from Raoul Dufy.
