THOMAS MADIGAN (Gija). Circa 1927 Untitled / Sans titre, 2006. Madigan and Rover Thomas were the first artists to mix natural ochres with fixatives for painting, allowing for a wider color palette. This painting depicts the Foal Creek site which is located on the Bow River Ranch. A couple is also depicted. They settled there in the time of the dream because they had found food there. Their spirit is still there. On the back of the painting: reference OL105 and signature. Natural pigments, ochre and acrylic glue on canvas (belgian linen) 100 x 100 cm Provenance: Private collection, France.
