Audience in a garden, Safavid Iran, late 17th century, in the style of Mu'in Musavvir Album page with gold and polychrome decoration of an audience scene. The sovereign kneeling on his throne and wearing a headdress with an aigrette, conversing with his guest in the presence of two courtiers. In the foreground, some dishes and pieces of crockery, in the background, a tormented mountainous landscape. Several epigraphic cartouches in Persian nasta'liq frame the scene, four arranged in the sky, two in the lower part of the composition. All around, the margin is decorated with a golden geometrical mesh decorated with vegetal motifs. Iranian export stamp dated 1343 H / 1924 to the right of the composition. Framed under glass.
