Prisoner scene, Iran, 19th century, in the style of Mu'in Musavvir Album page on cardboard with polychrome and gold decoration of a scene of prisoners. Two prisoners, their hands tied behind their backs, are presented by guards to a sovereign on horseback in the presence of other soldiers, four of whom appear behind the rugged rocks in the background. The scene is framed by Persian verses inscribed in nasta'liq in black ink within cartouches, followed by a gilded margin decorated with geometric latticework and plant motifs. Iranian export stamp dated 1343 H / 1924 in the lower part of the composition. Framed under glass.
